The South Jutland twin duo, Jesper and Jonas Trumm, better known as Twins of June, continue their musical journey in a new format with their upcoming single "What if I Die?", which will be released on 3 May 2024 on Iceberg Records.
On their new single, the duo takes the listener on a reflective journey that both draws inspiration and references from their previously successful singer-songwriter universe, as well as their newer electronic elements. The sound is characterized by a minimalist and acoustic expression, which has been done in a collaboration with the Danish producer Jesper Holm Højholdt. The lyrics describe and open up the dialogue about the deeper things of life, such as Relationships, loneliness, finding one's place in the world. The boys have collaborated with the Danish beer brewery Frisk Bryg to create a "Limited Edition - What if I Die?" beer to strengthen the local entrepreneurs as well as make the meaning of the song reach a higher level, when you can reflect on life with something cold to drink.
"In 2021 we stood in Parken, Cph at the Minds of 99 concert, where I suddenly felt alone among thousands of people. This feeling inspired us to reflect on the deeper layers of life and write a song about these thoughts. - Jonas Trumm Asmussen
With musical inspiration from bands such as Passenger, Alec Benjamin and Ed Sheeran, Twins of June takes the listeners back to their earlier melancholic expression. The track culminates in an explosion of emotion and invites the listener to immerse themselves and reflect on the nuances of life.
Twins of June have already established themselves with an impressive +3,000,000 streams on Spotify and their previous tours in Germany, Norway and Denmark, as a warm-up for artists such as Nicklas Sahl (DK), Rasmus Hagen (SE) and Mathilde Falch (DK), have cemented their position as a well-functioning live name.
